The Atlas hire fleet continues to grow. Atlas Southern has expanded its fleet of Trailer Mounted Winches even further with 2 notable additions; An additional 10tonne Grundowinch now fitted with 1,000metre bond and the very latest offering from SEB International. The TCW3000 is arguably the most modern 3tonne trailer mounted unit currently available and will be a welcome addition to the existing fleet. Both models also feature the very latest in computerised load monitoring, recording & printing technology.

New Promoter Hydraulic Winches - 01 November 2009
Atlas have long been known for their expertise with Moorings Systems and in recent months Atlas Scotland have been adding a number of new mooring winches to their existing and impressive inventory of large winches. Of particular interest are the latest 'Promoter' hydraulic winches. Atlas have added a total of 16 of these machines; 2 sets of 4 winches rated at 20tonnes with a brake holding capacity of 50tonnes, and a further 2 sets of 4 winches with a rating of 35tonnes and a brake hold of 90tonnes. This serves to reinforce Atlas Scotland's position as a market leader for the hire of large winches and multi-point mooring systems.

ATLAS Southern has taken delivery of a new 10tonne Trailer Winch. The Grundowinch KW10 is a road towable trailer mounted winch ideal for cable or pipe pulling applications. The winch is fitted with 700metres of wire rope and is equipped with the very latest in computerised load monitoring equipment allowing detailed data to be recorded and printed for each pulling operation. Atlas are pleased to announce a significant order with SEB International that will see a wide range of new trailer mounted winches & cable drum trailers being added to their already impressive inventory of equipment. The order includes 3 & 5tonne Cable Pulling units as well as Capstan & Assist winches to bolster the company's growing activities within the Utilities and Telecoms sector.

Atlas Southern has taken delivery of its' second CD220 Cable Drum Trailer from SEB International. The twin axle trailers have a payload of 8,550kgs for highway use but have also been fitted with uprated rams providing an increased payload of 10,000kgs when used on site. Drums of upto 1730mm width and 3660mm dia. can be accommodated in the CD220. These trailers are also fitted with diesel powered drum drive units for assisting with cable handling. Atlas Southern has recently added another 5tonne unit to its' growing fleet of trailer winches. Manufactured by SEB International, the TW5000 is fitted with 1,000mtrs of wire rope and is ideal for cable or pipe pulling projects of any size.
